Care
Light exposure
Position your Geranium solanderi in a sunny or partially shaded location for optimal flowering. Full sun areas promote better flower production and more compact growth. However, avoid overly hot and dry locations in Mediterranean regions.
Regular watering
Keep the soil slightly moist during the growing period, without creating waterlogging. Reduce water intake in winter or during dormancy. Water in late afternoon and water at the base of the plant to avoid wetting the foliage.
Well-draining soil
Cultivate this plant in a substrate rich in organic matter, well-draining and slightly acidic to neutral. You can improve heavy soil by incorporating mature compost or peat moss. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
